Spinal Cord Injuries
According to the National Spinal Cord Injury Statistical Center, Spinal Cord injuries result from motor vehicle accidents (42.1%), slip and falls (26.7%), acts of violence (15.1%) and sports activities (7.6%). In any such activity or circumstance, the spinal injury is caused from a traumatic impact resulting in loss of sensation or movement.
Because the spine is responsible for body movement and central nervous activity such as breathing and sexual function, spinal cord injuries can have a serious financial and physical impact. In order to file suit and collect for these injuries the victim must show that their injuries were caused by the wrong doing or negligence of others. The other side will usually argue pre-existing condition, assumption of risk and comparative negligence. Whether the injury is a partial or full spinal cord injury, you deserve full compensation for the wrongdoing of others.
